Poorna Vidyalaya is located in Thiruvalam near TNEB substation 23 kilometers from Vellore,Tamil Nadu. It was established in the year 1998 it is an independent non-denominational school.

Our School's Aim

“ To provide pupils with a high quality academic education and a balance set of values in a bilingual environment based on the best educational principles so as to prepare pupils for higher education and thereafter for citizenship and professional life in a world of diversity, completion and change”

The school is affiliated to the state board of secondary education – Matriculation Model. The school has been offering admission in grades LKG to XII and then moving up one further grade each year. The curriculum as defined by the State Board will be followed in letter and sprit.

Each part of the school has its own floor in the main building. The pre preparatory school is a self contained unit on the ground floor. The preparatory and the senior school is on the top floor. In some ways it is a small school with 200 pupils in the senior school but the presence of the younger ones swell with the ranks and add to the vibrancy. The general impression when entering the school is that of another modern Matriculation School which happens to be in Thiruvalam.

The school has gone through an interesting and challenging period in its development. The classrooms have been refurbished to the highest standard and up to date Science facilities have been installed. All classrooms are installed with black boards and good desks and tables furnished for the pupils of the class. The computer lab is complete with 20 pc’s networked on site. The learning resource centre has over 20,000 resources on its data base including besides books , Videos, audio CD’s, career broachers and a wide selection of magazines and news papers. The school has undertaken an almost continuous progress of building work over the past 5 years as it has gradually grown this
includes extension of the school building with a new academic centre with music and arts centre and science laboratories. The school also offers a full enrichment program which includes a wide range of clubs and societies and a house system, as well as ample opportunities to develop skills in creative arts, music and sports both inside and
outside the classroom. This program underpins Poorna Vidyalaya’s aim to install a lifelong love for learning, self development and a belief in one’s ability in all pupils.
